Benefits

The Wi Pere Trust distributes a range of benefits to their beneficiaries as follows

Education Grants

Please note that the 2025 Scholarship and Education Grants have closed for the 2025 academic year.

Distributions
  • $53 spread over three distribution dates

  • $21.00 payable in November at the Annual General Meeting

  • $17.00 payable in February

  • $15.00 payable in June

 

Education Grants

– closing on 20 March each year

  • Secondary school day students - $200

  • Secondary school boarding students - $300

  • Tertiary – Part time students - $275

  • Tertiary – Full time students - $750

 

Scholarship 

closing on 31 January each year

  • $4,500 in total, paid in three instalments subject to enrolment confirmation and verification of academic grades

 

Age (Kaumatua) Grants  
  • $300 to be paid to beneficiaries aged 60 - 79 years old

  • $400 to be paid to beneficiaries aged 80 - 89 years old

  • $600 to be paid to beneficiaries aged 90+ years old

 

Tangi Grants
  • For beneficiaries or their spouses - $600

  • For beneficiaries or their children - $600
